Dinnington Town crashed out of the Abacus Lighting Floodlit Cup with an away defeat under the lights.
A fast start saw the ball in the hosts net twice in the opening 15 minutes, but both were ruled out for offside. With just under 10 minutes to go before the break Justin Circuit did put Dinnington ahead, nodding in at the far post. A clever free kick from Aaron Moxam, who slid in Gracjan Klimczak, made it 2-0. Klimczak grabbed another just before the break giving Dinnington Town a comfortable 3-0 lead at half time. The 2nd half started just as quickly as the first, with Dinnington Town pressing and having another two goals disallowed for offside in the opening 15 minutes of the 2nd half. Then, South Normanton staged what seemed an unlikely, yet remarkable comeback. First squaring the game 3-3 with around 15 minutes left to play, before being awarded a penalty which was duly converted to make it 4-3. And that's how the game finished with defeat in the cup for Dinnington Town away to South Normanton. Dinnington Town are back in league against this Saturday away to Dearne & District. Kick off is 3pm.
