Dinnington Town began their new season with an emphatic statement of intent, as they beat Yorkshire Main at home.
Following their impressive third-place finish last season, Dinnington Town aimed to kick off the campaign with a dominant performance, and they did just that, cruising to a resounding 6-0 victory.
The atmosphere was electric as the match commenced, with Dinnington Town unleashing a torrent of energy from the outset.
It took merely ten minutes for the deadlock to be broken, as Ashley Cooper opened the scoring, setting the tone for the afternoon.
Just seven minutes later, Cam Evans doubled the lead.
The floodgates truly opened as Jed Phillips took center stage. In a dazzling display of attacking prowess, Phillips struck twice in quick succession, first on 27 minutes and again on 34 minutes.
His quick brace left the visitors reeling and Dinnington Town comfortably ahead 4-0 by half-time.
The second half commenced with Dinnington Town showing no signs of relenting. Only four minutes in, Phillips completed his hat trick as the ball nestle into the net, further extending the lead to 5-0.
Logan Liggins rounded off the spectacular opening day performance in the 64th minute, sealing the emphatic victory for Dinnington Town.

Dinnington Town are next in action on Saturday 10th August, at home to Elite FC in the Black Dragon Premier Division North. Kick-off is at 3:00pm.
